About F L O W

What does F L O W stand for?

F L O W is short for FindLife Of Wonder

In psychology, the term wonder is an emotion that involves elements of surprise, curiosity, contemplation and joy (Neel Burton M.D.). A state of consciousness and emotion awakened by something singularly beautiful, rare, or unexpected. To experience wonder is to be deeply moved and inspired by a marvel, to awake an interest, to desire knowledge with curiosity. You might find wonder in natural penomena, extraordinary facts and figures but also in human intellectual and physical achievement. In F L O W we strongly believe that there is wonder in every person and our goal is to guide you find yours.

Flow is also a mental state. It is discribed as an operatinal state in which the person is fully immersed in what they are doing, characterized by a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and success in the process of the activity. Time flies. Every action, movement, and thought follows inevitably from the previous one. Your whole being is involved, and you're using your skills to the utmost. To achieve a flow state, a balance must be struck between the challenge of the task and the skill of the performer. If the task is too easy or too difficult, flow cannot occur (New World Encyclopedia) .

Our philosophy is to put our students first. Our courses involve lesson plans, designed to adapt to your needs and interests, to provide support and guidance along with inspiration for you to reach your full potential. Our goal is for our classes to be a place where you can find a new interest, skill, friend or even yourself. To be curious, explore, challenge yourself, achieve and notice the wonder around and inside you.

Anna Prousanidou

"Hi,

I am Anna! I studied at the Faculty of Pedagogics in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and I am a certified teacher. I have always enoyed to move my body and have experimented as a teenager with classes in contemporary, latin, ballroom and as a young adult with salsa! Around 2013 I met tango and I fell in love. In it I found warm embraces, connection, joy, challenge, fullfilment and a new friendly community. I have studied and danced tango in Greece, France and Sweden with international maestr@s. The past few years I have been working as a tango teacher and dancer in Gothenburg!

In 2020 during a very challenging period of my life I met yoga and it clicked once again! Through yoga and mindfulness I found a new way to connect with my body, my mind and my spirit. I became stronger and wiser. I challenged myself and grew in the process. I gained control and confidence both on my mat and in my life. Balance. I studied to be a yoga and mindfulness teacher, at Väddö Folkhögskola and have since been giving yoga classes, approaching different styles.

My pedagogical background, my professional and personal experience have tought me that we all are our best when we feel supported and challenged enough. In my classes my students are my priority, as is playfulness, comfort and connection.

Hugs,

Anna"
